Last night, while walking Carmen the dog, I played a bit with the Pentax in the snow. It was a long and beautiful walk, and we only went once around the block. Such a good and patient dog.

About pattiblaine
Raised under the name of Snyder in the upstate NY town of Vestal, I've worked as a typesetter, a fast food salad bar tender, an art reviewer, a waitress, a part-time nanny, and a very-bad-with-phones temp. Once upon a time I was all-but-thesis toward a Masters in Art History. Now I'm just a mom with a lot of fiber squirreled away throughout the house. We call it insulation.
Currently, I coordinate volunteers who tutor struggling students at an inner-city school where the poverty rate is 100%. I am also enrolled in a life-long learning program at Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School (1 more year!) and a docent at the Memorial Art Gallery.
There is such beauty in something as simple as snow. I got very little –even less say than sunnyside just a few miles away. and my area is more urban–with almost no lawns (the houses have small walled in patches for front yards, and few big trees or shrubs.) Thank you for you lovely photos–and for your appreciation of the beauty that surrounds you. (i love your puddle photo’s too. Its nice to know i am not the only adult who still marvels in puddles!)
It took me until the 4th shot to realize these were not shot in black and white! LOL Beautiful, but I’m glad it’s you and not me. -Erin, the wimpy southerner who grew up on the coast
Beautiful pictures!
