In some circles I have a reputation for baking pies. I’m even told I’m quite good at it. Yet it occurred to me early this week that I have not baked a pie in a good long while. Months even. And that’s just wrong.
So after baking and giving away (most of) the cherry cordial version of Sharon Tyler Herbst’s double fudge brownies early this week (knitting guild folks made quick work of them, thank goodness), I rummaged around in the freezer, found a bag of berries we picked last August and baked a blueberry pie.
It tastes like summer.
